GM’s Cleanse Day 2

So today was day 2 of GM Cleanse: Veggie Day!

Today was MUCH easier than yesterday! I had the baked potato for breakfast—broccolli, cucumbers, and carrots for lunch—and corn, cucumbers and carrots for dinner. I also ate a toaster scramble, for some added protein.

I don’t really know if this is the best cleanse, but I really do like how this is making me eat more fruits and veggies! I’m filling up throughout the day and I’m eating half the calories as usual! We will see how the rest of the week goes! :)

I decided that I’m going to get back into running! I jumped off the bandwagon once I hurt my ankle :/ but now I’m getting back into it with the “Beginners 5k Training Guide”. Even though I’m not a beginner I figured I’d start slow! At that rate ill be running a 5k by early April! So look for updates on my April sign up ;)

P.s. I’m posting this as I do some fast-inclined walking on the treadmill, after my 20 minute ab/arm training! Getting back into the swing slowly but surely! ;)

Benefits of Saunas

Very recently, I have been experimenting with the sauna at my gym. I have been going for 10 minutes after my workout. I was curious on the positive effects of the sauna so I did a little research! Thought I would share with my lovely followers! :)

Benefits:

 1. Improves blood circulation
 2. Detoxifies the body
 3. Opens up pores and cleanses the skin
 4. Improves respiratory functions
 5. Improves immune system
 6. Aids in weight loss
 7. RELAXATION! :)

Question of the Day! 1/16/13

I have trouble sometimes (okay, ALOT of times) staying focused and inspired. What keeps you inspired on your weight loss journey?

UGH!!!

Omg I hate how I havn’t been on this blog! :( But now that school has started I should have time to get on it everyday! I love coming on here and getting inspiration from my followers and the blogs I follow!

Annnnyyyywayyys! This morning I had a Pillsbury Toaster Scramble (180 cals) and some Pumpkin Spice coffee (120 cals, YUMM!) Today I have ballet class and dance improvisation, so about 2 1/2 hours of moving around :)

Everyday I have a 2 hour break so I’m going to start going to the REC during that time instead of just blogging ;)

Omg…

So today I’m waiting for class to start and I decide to check out my Tumblr…only to see I haven’t posted anything since July! :( Then I realized how much this blog made me accountable for my eating and exercise habits! Since the beginning of July I haven’t been following my strict calorie-reduced diet as I had been for the past year and a half. I didn’t gain a lot of weight, but I am now at 138 when I was at 133-135. Yesterday I started my first day with my new lifestyle choice. From now until the end of October, I am starting a vegetarian lifestyle and eating no meat. After that, I will decide if I want to continue the lifestyle change permanently. With that, I also plan on eating 1300 calories a day and under 35 g of fat.

Exercising might end up getting tricky. I just started my first semester at University of Houston and it’s been a little hectic with the start of school and all. I’m planning on getting an apartment with my friend in early October (YAY!), so I will be working a lot on top of going to school. Luckily I am a dance major so I have dance class Mondays-Thursdays. I going to attempt to go to the gym 6 days a week with 30 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weight lifting. *Fingers crossed* I can improve on my time-management skills xD

I’m going to do a minimum of one post a day so I can be more accountable. I love the support I get through this blog and I would love to hear from my sweet followers again :)

Day 1of 30 Day Shred at 137 lbs! :) so excited! I’ll be done the day before I leave for Austin! I plan on weighing myself everyday, which is something I’ve never liked doing, to hold my self accountable. I’ll be posting my 30 day calendar that has my schedule in it and I’ll be documenting my weight each day.

I based this off a few workouts, combining the workouts/reps that I found simple and easy to remember. Trust me, this workout will get the job done! I’m going to start doing this Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, since those are the days that I find difficult to go to the gym! I’d love to know if any of my amazing followers would take this challenge with me?!

My food that I’ve eaten so far! I haven’t had my snack yet but that’s what I’m going to have, probably around 4:00. So my totals so far are: 27 g of fiber and 49 g of protein! So that means only 8 g of fiber and 40 g of protein until I reach my daily goal! :)
